The Lutheran Educational Support Program, formerly the Orphans and Vulnerable Children Program, began in 2004 under the LCL HIV & AIDS Programme. The name was changed in 2024 after partner evaluation.
LESP supports vulnerable children and young people through education, nutrition, moral guidance, vocational training, and higher education support across Liberia regardless of religious, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds.
From 2004 to 2017, the programme supported 250 children. For the 2025/2026 academic year, it supported 198 students across grade school, university, and vocational training.
The programme has beneficiaries in five counties: Montserrado, Margibi, Bong, Grand Bassa, and Lofa.

The Programme has implemented projects with local and international partners committed to HIV prevention, care, support, and community resilience.
